I can't say enough - the Inn was awesome, the room was beautiful - nicely decorated and clean! The Inn Keepers Carol Ann and Jerry were down to earth and so very nice/kind! In fact I booked a weekend in August.

Stayed here 5/8-5/10/2013. We love this place. Jerry and Carol Ann are both very hospitable innkeepers, we felt right at home. It is very clean and the food was delicious. They accomodated my gluten intolerance both mornings. The first breakfast was gluten free for everyone that stayed here. There is round the clock access to k-cup coffee and fine assortment of teas. A refrigerator is dedicated for guests to keep their food/wine/beverages. Complimentary reception with yummy hearty appetizers and wine every other night. It is beautifully landscaped with a fountain in the back (not yet in season). Fantastic location. I had the best pedicure yesterday afternoon after my husband and I returned from the Holland Tulip Festival (also a wonderful time). At Carol Ann's recommendation, my appt. was with Kathy at K Nails; she massaged my legs extensively. So worth the money, best pedicure I've ever had. My husband walked to the park and looked at Lake Michigan. While my pedicure was in process he walked into town and watched ships come through the drawbridge and took pictures. We'd come back here.

We stayed at the Inn at the Park in April 2013. The location is not bad. Close to the downtown with a lot of shops and stuff to do. In a row of B&B's just out of the main downtown area. Got in on the travelzoo deal $99 per night.

The GOOD
The house is nice, the people are friendly, the place was very quiet. The room was a little small but nicely decorated. Not the nicest bed and breakfast I have ever stayed at, but just fine.

The NOT SO GOOD.
They charged us extra for breakfast. Pah-lease this is a bed and breakfast it is usually included. They charged us extra for using our credit card...come on now. They charged us extra for bottled water or a soda instead of wine...geeze. And then...they wanted a tip. Just too many hidden fees made this a less than perfect place to go.

Would I go back? Maybe, maybe not....would I go out of my way to go here...NO.

Room Tip: Have extra cash in your pocket for the stuff that you shouldn't have to pay for!

Just a note to offer some input and the opportunity to thank you for the compliments but also to correct your statements that would suggest other than the facts.

As stated, you purchased an extremely great deal via TravelZoo and your purchase choices were clearly stated. You chose to purchase the $99 rate which included a carafe of wine, a delightful continental breakfast that consisted of fresh fruit mixed with yogurt and topped with our homemade granola, fresh baked goods straight from our ovens, orange juice and complementary homemade hot chocolate, coffee and/or tea. Don’t forget your in-room fireplace and the yummy cookies in the Pub for your nighttime snack. Did you read the voucher that you purchased??? We offered you a hot breakfast which was NOT included in what you purchased (clearly stated at time of purchase and reservation) but was available should you decide you would have preferred had you chosen the option that included the full breakfast. You emailed us and said you would like to ADD the full breakfast.

You are also correct that we have sodas and bottled water available for purchase in our Pub room and as you may have also noticed, we are a for-profit business. Remember, you had numerous “deal” choices to purchase from and you selected the one for $99. Regardless of the option you finally decided on, you received luxury lodging and breakfast at a price that attracted you to visit our Inn.

So, we are glad you found us to be very clean…we work very hard at that so its great that you noticed… and in a great location as you mention, but wonder why the purchase of soda ($1.00, also a great deal) would interrupt such a wonderful get-away?

All in all, we hope your stay in South Haven will bring you back to the community but understand that your choice will not be at our property.

This B&B was by far the best we have ever stayed at, from the friendly hospitality of the Inn Keepers, to the immaculate Inn. This place has all top end, nothing is spared making your stay something you will always remember. We stayed in the Magnolia Suite. The room is huge and beautifully decorated, no detail ignored, from the wonderful smell of potpourri to the bed skirt that matches the love seat. Breakfast was amazing! We had French toast bake with fresh fruit, sausage and orange juice. The location is within walking distance of the beach and town. I felt like I was right at home. We will be returning again soon.

Room Tip: I don't believe you could go wrong with any room, though the Magnolia and the Hawthorn seemed to...

The Inn at the Park B&B is absolutely charming, and so is the owner, Carol Ann! The Magnolia room is beautiful and felt like a Honeymoon Suite! The breakfasts were delicious and offered at a perfect time (not too early, not too late).

The location is perfect; it's very close to town and also very close to the beach. We were there in October (2012) and we rented bikes and rode along a gorgeous bike trail that brought us through a beautiful area just bursting with fall color! Absolutely gorgeous!

If you want a relaxing and rejuvenating escape...this is perfect! We received a $50 voucher for our next visit and we can't wait to return!

Room Tip: We stayed in the Magnolia Room and it was so lovely. It was facing the street but it was very quiet...

This is a lovely inn with nice size rooms (all with gas fireplaces) and cozy commons areas as well. We met up with friends and when not touring South Haven, we enjoyed catching up over a complimentary glass of wine and a variety of games that the Inn has on hand. Breakfast was delicious--quiche with breakfast potatoes and a tea cup of fruit, very nice. Cookies in the afternoon, and access to a fridge if you wanted to keep anything cold were all nice touches as well. The Inn is walking distance to South Haven's downtown shopping and restaurants.

Room Tip: The Hawthorne Room was very nice, with a private balcony. It's a stretch to say it "overlo...

PROS: Hosts are welcoming and friendly without being intrusive or excessively chatty. Inn is spacious with several common areas. Lots of games and videos available. Magnolia room is large and cozy with a super comfortable bed. All rooms have fireplaces. Short walk into town. CONS: Morning coffee was weak and and lacking much flavor. Expected a better quality of coffee more robustly brewed Some breakfast items were underseasoned (potatoes and quiche). There were no appetizers and wine on Saturday night (only Friday) though we were told that appetizers and wine would be served in the late afternoon. In summary, I would definitley recommend this inn as it is charming and the hosts are really nice and helpful.

Room Tip: All rooms looked lovely. We stayed in the Magnolia room and it seemed to be the largest room.
