A perfect "get away from it all" B&B based on a working farm. Although it is close to the motorway and so very accessible it is located in a quiet locatiobn in beautiful countryside. Aftre driving from London we were met by Helen, the owner, with a welcome pot of tea in the lounge before relaxing in the well appointed room. This had a nice en-suite bathroom, wi-fi, TV etc and, more importantly, a comfortable bed! As one would hope on a farm the breakfast was substantial with lots of choice. We only stayed one night as they were fully booked but will certainly return if we are passing through again.

A superb bed and breakfast - location, welcome, comfort - all exceptional. Peaceful location set amongst farmland and yet near to M.5. Many thoughtful touches provided by the lovely host, Helen, even two white robes hanging in the wardrobe which are not provided by many far more expensive hotels. Rooms tastefully decorated and spotless. Lovely dining room with an excellent breakfast choice, all locally sourced. We shall certainly be re-visiting when we hope the weather may be slightly drier to enable us to walk around the gardens of the two National Trust properties in the area without getting soaked!

I stayed in the 2 bedroomed suite with my other half and Mother this month for a night and it was a lovely place. Very nice owner Helen, who made us feel very welcome, along with the 2 farm dogs who were delightful and a lot of fun to play with. Lovely surroundings - fields full of lambs. Suite was lovely - well appointed with everything we needed. Good nights sleep with no disturbances. Great english breakfast - more than enough to fill anyone up! Would I stay here again? Absolutely yes.
If you're in the area looking for food, try the Merry Harriers down the road by the way - great food and lovely staff - they also made us very welcome. Good experience all round!!

Travelling with my partner on the way to a meeting in Exeter. Farmhouse accommodation nestled in breathtaking countryside yet so easily accesible to motorway a short distance away. Rooms great, hostess great, breakfast great. What more could you ask for.

Helen is a wonderful host at this lovely, peaceful B&B near Cullompton. The guests use one wing of the farm house and the hosts live in the other. It's a working farm with Suffolk and Dorset sheep, and arable. The location is perfect if you are after a quiet, contryside location; we ate a good meal at The Five Bells which is walkable from the B&B. The bedroom was comfortable and clean with tea&coffee making facilities, plus there is a fridge in the dining room if you need to store your own milk etc. Breakfast was a good choice of cereals, fresh fruit, yogurts, toast, croissants and cooked options. We were only staying for one night on the way further South, but Newcourt Barton was very good value and I would recommend it to anyone wanting a base near to Exeter.

Having spent far too long online looking for a good farm b&b for my young nephew and myself, I arrived for our four night stay at Newcourt Barton with a measure of hope and trepidation. Would it look as good as it appears on the website or had I made a big mistake? I needn't have worried because from arrival to departure we had a fantastic time even though the weather left much to be desired.
The farm is only four miles from the M5 but it may have been forty because it was so quiet. It is situated near to local attractions such as Diggerland and QuadWorld and is very convenient for a trip to the coast to dig for dinosaurs!
Our room was tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean with everthing that we expected and a little bit more. There is not only a good supply of tea and coffee in the room but there is also hot chocolate and a daily pack of biscuits - a lovely touch. The bathroom was more than adequate with good quality toiletries including body lotion.
The breakfast was superb with a good choice of fruit, cereals and cooked items. It was nice to be able to order exactly what we wanted without feeling that we were being awkward.
Guests have their own sitting room and have access to a microwave and fridge. Most guest rooms are situated on one side of the main house and we had our own door key which made it easier to come and go when we pleased.
My nephew loved the table tennis which is in a barn and we spent many hours playing while it was raining. There are plenty of toys and games for those with children.
The service we received was faultless - friendly and helpful without being too intrusive.
We had such a great time that we are planning to return for a few days later in the year.
