I suppose if every B&B was as outstanding as The Brickhouse of Somerset, happening on a gem like this would be no big deal. But we all know the whole B&B experience can be hit or miss...but not here! I have found it to be a consistently wonderful experience.
My brother and sisters and our spouses have had several weekend reunions at The Brickhouse. Sandy and Ron are gracious and charming hosts who always seem to know what will be needed before the thought occurs - it's perfect! The house itself is welcoming and the bedrooms are comfy and private (each room has its own bath). There are many different areas of the house where you can be a part of things or not, depending on your choice...I love being on the big Victorian porches in nice weather; the back porch is perfect for starting the day with a cup of coffee (they serve great coffee, by the way). Oh, and the gardens are lovely...ask for a yard tour!
Staying at The Brickhouse is wonderful experience but it wouldn't be the same without Sandy and Ron. It is so obvious that they love what they do here (another reviewer noted that this is not their day job). If you want privacy, they'll make sure you get it...but get to know them even a little bit and you'll end your stay feeling like you've known and loved them forever.
