Hotel was nice & clean. Desk staff was friendly & quick to get us checked in. Jacuzzi room was clean and spacious. Jacuzzi was large enough for two. Only complaint would be that our room (#145) faced the pool, so it was noisy until it closed at 11. pm. Free breakfast was typical (Cereal, toast, muffins, eggs & sausage to make "McMuffins)

Room Tip: No on-site hotel or room service, but Applebees is next door. Several restaurants near by. I recom...

I travel to the Soo approximately once per month and this is the first time I have stayed at the Comfort in. I was surprised on how nice it was. My room was very large and it was very clean. The staff upon check in were friendly and helpful.
I did use the pool which was nice, the hot tub was not very hot and the sauna was VERY hot - I did step out and turn down the adjustment a bit but if I could do it someone could have turned it up which resulted in the very hot temps- not the hotels fault.
There is a great courtyard area with sitting areas and grills for cooking out. There is a restaurant next door and a small grocery store behind in a shopping plaza. Be careful driving around back as the drive is used for the restaurant and the hotel guest - some are in a hurry to get a table.
I will stay here again.

Room Tip: There were a few semis parked in the back where my room was - they left early which awoke me a bit e...

We were upgraded to a nicer suite but it overlooked the pool. I do not like to not be able to see whether its daylight or not but that said it was a nice room. You can over hear the kids in the pool.
It was pretty clean unlike other people have said. We like the breakfast with sausage and waffles, donuts and bagels. Nothing fancy but worth it if you want to save some money. The town is pretty depressed lots of businesses are closed down and the freighters going though the locks are slowed down this summer.

Convenient to most all attractions - only 5 minutes to the Locks and less than an hour from the bridge. This hotel is very dated but has all the amenities most Comfort Inns have…Breakfast, pool, pet friendly etc. It looks like they did just get new carpeting, but the bathrooms have been band aided with caulk and paint. The king bed we had was decent too. Not sure I would stay there again unless I knew they renovated it. Applebees is right next door so you can walk to it.

Room Tip: pet friendly rooms are on the first floor to aid in potty breaks

Booked under Choice Priveleges several months in advance. Res. couldn't be changed. Checked prices a few weeks later for a friend. Price had gone down and call to 800 number produced no help. Person directed me to call hotel direct to see what they could do. Called the hotel and talked to Ryan. He was busy and said he would call back. Never did. Don't bother with the Choice Privelege thing. Room was OK.

Rooms are tacky and old (pink jacuzzi!), but clean and spacious. Beds are uncomfortable, but not unclean. Loud hallways/pool area. Bedding is dated. Room is musty with weak air conditioning. Price is good and location convenient.

If the people behind the reception desk are extremely nice and makes you feel come, you are usually in the right place in 8 our of 10 times.

We wanted to have dinner in Canada and the reception was very helpful in giving advise, - even though they had not been across the border for 7 years. There is a toll charge both ways of $ 3.

My wife likes to shop and there is a mall, both doing a right turn in Canada and another one just behind the hotel plus a Walmart Super-center just down the street. The hotel is located just ¼ of a mile from the highway. In our view the hotel could not be more ideally placed. The room was larger than usual with a jacuzzi (#113), but the window was facing the indoor pool. There was absolutely no smell of chloride in the room, but noisy kids in a pool can be quite loud.

We slept very well during the night and left the Jacuzzi untouched. There is an old CRT TV, but it has all the channels. There is table with two chairs where you can take a meal. The ironing board is mounted directly and very visible on the wall in room, but that was the only space to put it.

The fitness room is in a converted bedroom however. The treadmill has not worked for a while, - apparently. The receptionist was not sure whether it was to be replaced or if it was just a defect part. The AC unit in the room did not cool. There were no towels and the water cooler was empty. There were weights and other items to use, but to work out in a hot environment is an extra challenge. There are apparently very few guests that make use of the fitness room, so most guests will not be affected.

The breakfast room was not that cozy, but attendant compensated for this. She was a gem for the hotel. Great breakfast and even better service.

I have not read other reviews on this hotel, but I would be surprised if they are not very good.

Room Tip: Try out room #113
