Very cool to see how a real ship operates. Especially enjoyed seeing the living quarters of all the staff. Thought it was great they offer a military discount.

“Nice hour long self-guided tour”
Reviewed August 19, 2013

at $12.50 for an all-day pass (come and go as you please), this is a deal. You get to wander through the ship and see various exhibits inside the cargo holds (large decks inside to use the space better) including a natural aquarium with local fish, an Edmund Fitzgerald exhibit, Coast Guard exhibits, and more. Had seen this for years and wondered if it was worth seeing. Well worth the stop.

“Great stop after the Soo Locks Boat Tour”
Reviewed August 15, 2013

Staff is helpful. Much to see and all well presented. The real fun is exploring the upper deck and having an opportunity to watch the freighter enter the locks. Entrance fee is reasonable.

“Well worth the time & money”

Where else can you go on an ore freighter, inside & out? Our 6 year old was in heaven & loved it. Great history & exhibits of Great Lakes shipping.

“Awesome!”
Reviewed August 6, 2013 via mobile

Thoroughly enjoyed touring the freighter. The optional quiz made it even more interesting. It forced you to pay more attention. Paul, the narrator, made it extremely interesting when he talked about the "Edmond Fitzgerald" that went down in Lake Superior in '75. 29 men died
