If you've never stayed at the Inn then you are missing out on a truly unique experience. From the moment of arrival the staff treat you as part of the family. The grounds offer a pleasant and relaxing space, the Inn is warm and inviting, and the food is fantastic. As part of your stay you have to experience the dinner; you will not be disappointed. In the evening, the snacks and tea are an excellent finish to a wonderful day, and there is no better way to start your day than to experience the breakfast. If you're looking for an additional pleasure, you have to read a copy of the history of the Inn and the surrounding grounds and buildings. Its history has it all: from romance to scandal. The Inn is a convenient short drive from the heart of Saugatuck, but you wouldn't want to be any closer. After the hustle and bustle of the a visit to Saugatuck, the Inn is an oasis for tranquility and restfulness and romance. Whether business or pleasure or as a couple or solo, the Inn is the place to stay.

We came for a long weekend to the Belvedere and could not have been happier! We typically do not spend this much on a hotel stay, but it was well worth every penny!! The Somerset room was perfect- good amount of space and an amazing bed! The staff at the Inn was kind, helpful and went the extra mile to ensire our stay was one to remember. We enjoyed good breakfasts (I highly recommend the homemade croissants!) each morning and the snack table available upstairs in the afternoons. Additionally, we celebrated our engagement with a wonderful dinner of Chateaubriand. The meat was done perfectly and the mussels and Straberry Rhubarb Fool were excellent as well.

I would definitely return to stay at the Belvedere and would highly recommend it!!

I have now become a regular at the Belvedere Inn--my fourth trip in eleven months. I try a different room each time and I enjoy the unique personality of each room--no two rooms are alike. I am always blown away by the staff's attentiveness and hospitality. (Actually staff is too impersonal a description--they are more like friends who really know how treat their friends.) The accommodations are first rate and the food at breakfast (included) and the dinners is amazing with some unique combinations--it is always a pleasant surprise to see that Shaun has cooked up each time. I usually travel alone but never feel alone when I am at the Belvedere, It is a feeling of comfort, contentment, rejuvenation and friendship that will keep me coming back again and again.

Room Tip: Use their website as they show 2 - 3 pictures of each room with descriptions of the accommodations...

My husband and I stayed at the Belvedere Inn for three nights for our 25th anniversary (on our way to Mackinac Island). The Inn was simple elegance at its best, yet we felt as if we were at home and at ease, able to relax and enjoy the house and the absolutely amazing gardens and patio in the back. We loved sitting in the garden room while having a drink and visiting with other very nice guests. The library is is warm and inviting, containing books of various genres. Outside we could hear some highway noise, but it was not noticeable because we were surrounded by such beautiful grounds with sounds of the gorgeous water fountain and birds singing in the trees. We thought it was nice to be in a B and B that was off the beaten path (yet it was only 5 minutes from downtown Saugatuck) and peaceful and quiet. Staff members (Jonathan, Josephine, and Nancy) were there to accommodate us with whatever we needed. Shaun, the owner, is tremendously hospitable and friendly---and his culinary abilities are outstanding. Breakfasts were delightful...We had the most lovely and delicious dinner...a true Dining Experience--so I would definitely recommend the restaurant! Our room (The Devonshire) was a bit smaller than we expected, but it was sufficient for the stay, and impeccably decorated and inviting. Most of the time we were out and about anyway, or we were enjoying the common areas where we could relax--which is more fun than staying in a room as we love to make new acquaintences. I would recommend this Inn to those who enjoy upscale and beautiful surroundings with a true homey ambiance. Thanks to Shaun and the Belvedere staff for a wonderful three days in Saugatuck! Hope we can come back soon..

My husband and I stayed here in the Canterbury Suite for three nights and enjoyed every minute. The Inn is beautiful and is located in a very relaxing and serene environment. The food is wonderful: there is a lot of variety for breakfast and if you have dinner you will enjoy how well-prepared it is. The hosts are there to make sure you are comfortable and they keep the grounds up nicely. This is probably the best place to stay if you are in this area.

My wife and I spent two nights at the Belvedere in mid-July, and we had a wonderful stay. From the moment Shaun—one of the proprietors—took my reservation until the moment we left, the staff were courteous and helpful without ever being overbearing. The innkeeper gave us excellent directions and suggestions, and turned out to be a mean bartender as well. The hotel was quiet and beautifully decorated and, while were initially concerned about not being in downtown Saugatuck, once we headed into town we were sure we made the right choice. It was relaxing to have a place like the Belvedere to escape to at the end of the night. One of our fondest memories will be the night we sat in the back garden drinking well-crafted martinis and watching the fireflies. Breakfast was delicious each morning, and we were happy to see coffee was available late at night. We stayed in the Cambridge Suite. Some might consider it small, but it was perfect for us, and the small dormer area was the perfect space for reading a book. If the place had had a tub, we might not have left. Our one regret is that we didn't make it in time for dinner on our first night, and already had other plans the following night. If you want a romantic and hassle-free stay in Saugatuck, this is the place.

Needed a room for a very brief stopover in Saugatuck, Mi, but still wanted it to be wonderful. Could not find anything super special in town for a one-night stay. So glad we didn't, because our tremendous luck landed us at the Belvedere Inn & Restaurant which opened up last minute. Gorgeous, impeccably maintained, delicious. Turned our road trip to pick up our daughter from camp into a vacation. Had a world class dinner but left too early for breakfast. So...the loving staff packed us up an amazing assortment of breads and fruit for our trip. Am especially grateful to the woman in the morning who slipped me some sausages and freshly brewed coffee for the road. I want to go back and never leave.

Room Tip: We were in the attic and it was still wonderful.
