First, the nuts and bolts: close to town, but away from the late night party noise and a great front porch for evenings of wine and conversation. The breakfast is outstanding; we generally eat breakfast and a late lunch and skip a full supper. Rooms are clean, although not overly large (we don't spend much time in our room). The internet is free and I've never had problem with the signal.
Now, the best part. We have met so many wonderful people at breakfast and on the front porch in the evening. We've met people from all over the world. For the most part everyone is always friendly. I can't tell you how many people we keep in touch with after meeting there. We even have different new found friends that meet there at the same time each year.
I f you're expecting a hotel, a B&B is not for you. If you're looking for friends, fun, and sometimes some people to help share your burden, give a B&B a try; once you've tried the VI, you might not stay anywhere else.
