We had a great stay at the Oak Bay Guest House. The house is absolutely charming. Built in 1912 and added onto in 1922 to be an Inn, this house is definitely period perfect and demonstrates the architecture of the time. Our suite was very reasonably priced with a sitting room, large bedroom and a private bath. We slept soundly on a very comfortable bed. The footed tub in the bathroom was a plus and my wife took full advantage of it and loved it. The grounds are large with a very nice garden sitting area that is isolated from neighbors and the street with beautiful flora.
The breakfast that they served was outstanding. Beside the fresh fruit bowl, yogurt parfait, juice and fresh brewed coffee for starters, we had scrambled eggs with fresh salmon and blueberry pancakes. The service was prompt and friendly. The food was market fresh and cooked to perfection. They also gave us kitchen baked muffins to take with us. You won't leave hungry.
We found the host and staff to be not only helpful but knowledgeable about the area activities.
We would recommend this property to our best friends. In fact, we are booking at Oak Bay Guest House for a stay next summer.

We were given a very warm welcome by Egle, and found the house to be charming and very comfortable.
Breakfasts were delicious and very substantial, and we were even given muffins to take with us.
The garden is lovely and we spent a relaxing hour soaking up the sunshine.
The sun room was a great meeting place for our group of 6 - we appreciated the coffee and biscuits which were provided, and we were also able to enjoy our own pre-dinner drinks in the sun room.

Don't skip the breakfasts - they are way beyond the normal B&B experience.

We were very lucky to book this B&B for our recent stay in Victoria, BC.

We stayed there for 5 nights and loved it very much; the house is beautiful and so are the rooms. The breakfast was just outstanding, all different and delicious every day.

I can absolutely recommend this B&B! You won't be disappointed. I will be back when I come to Victoria the next time!

Quite by accident this was our second stay at Oak Bay Guest House. The last time was 22 years ago when we visited Victoria with our son on his 21st birthday, but we forgot the name, so we used Trip Advisor to find some options. After I settled on OBGH, my wife looked at the pictures and recognized the dining room. With a change in management and some upgrades, it was better than before.
The room was terrific with a wonderful sunroom at the end of the hall that we really enjoyed at the end of a busy day. But the highlight were the breakfasts every morning: salmon omelets, eggs benedict, and eggs any way you want. The homemade orange marmalade was to "die for". What a way to start the day.
We also found the location to be perfect for visiting the island. Ten to 15 minutes from just about anywhere and only 30 minutes to Butchart Gardens. We were also within walking distance of several terrific restaurants and 10 minutes by car from several others.
You'll LOVE it!!

We stayed in the Oriental Suite and loved the little touches that made the Japanese theme interesting. The suite was very charming, and the bed comfortable. Very clean. Warm and welcoming hosts. Lovely crackling fire as you check in. Great breakfast, with muffins to take with you "in case you get hungry later"! Close to the beach for morning walks, and to Oak Bay for browsing the boutiques.
