Java Joe makes you feel like you are at home if you are a local or a visitor stopping in for coffee. My daughter and I love to stop and at least grab coffee and 'Joe' is always there for a minute of conversation and makes us feel like we are important!

We stayed one night in St. Ignace on the way to Marquette, and had passed Java Joe's on the way to our hotel. We thought we'd stop there in the morning for a coffee and get breakfast elsewhere. As soon as we got out of the car, the delicious armoas hit us and when we walked in and were greeted so warmly by THE Java Joe, we quickly changed our mind and asked for a table. The service was fast and friendly and the food was delicious! Joe visited us several times, refiling coffee adn water and answering questions we had about a couple if sites we wanted to see before leaving the UP to head back to Lansing. He even went so far as to draw a route on a map for us. Every inch of the walls had shelves displaying beautiful tea pots, cookie jars and pitchers for sale (collectors must LOVE this place!). Overall an excellent experience that left us with smiles on our faces and happy bellies! We will be back!

Was looking for someplace to grab a quick bite and instead of staying in Mackinaw City on a Sunday late morning when everyplace was packed, we headed across bridge and I looked up places to eat and found Java Joe's. There were some not so good reviews but there were good ones as well. We almost didnt eat there because parking spots are scarce! Only a few spots avail. in front and a couple in back. It is next to the Holiday Inn, who has a huge parking lot, but signs posted that it is Holiday Inn parking ONLY! we managed to park in rear of Java Joe's..it is a colorful little place, very cheery and full of pictures of customers, even in the bathroom! But they have a large selection of all types of pancakes, french toast and coffee. I would recommend the Almond Joy Latte! Also amazing crepes! It was hard to decide what to order. The atmosphere was pleasant and the owner was there and spoke to all the customers, very nice man. I am sorry we did not make it back in before we left but are certain to return next time!

Was back in the area once again and headed over the bridge for breakfast. Was their first customer of the day and arrived about 15 minutes before they opened. Joe was more than happy to get a cup of coffee and menu in front of me in no time at all. Breakfast did not disappoint me at all. Omelet, hash browns and sourdough toast. Biggest problem with ordering something is deciding what to order. Hope to be back there in October.

Java Joe is a gregarious fellow. Ensures all guests are welcomed & feel comfortable. Breakfast options are plentiful, reasonably priced & tasty. Will eat there again.
