Good price for a summer hotel in that area. Good sized room on the first floor, but had to go down a half flight to get there. Ice machine was hard to find and the breakfast was in the lobby that was not attached to the hotel building. Would be a pain on a rainy morning. Should have purchased a can of Lysol to kill the mold on the bathroom ceiling and shower curtain. Room needed better lighting.

Clean with a nice location on the lake. I would stay here again. Nice pool and hot tub. Our room had a huge jacuzzi tub and a nice balcony overlooking lake Huron. I feel $90 was a bit pricey but other then that it was great.

Nice clean room, with a patio to the lake. Sunrise is awesome!! Indoor pool and hot tub. Free breakfast. Close to I-75 and the bridge or downtown St. Ignace. Would get room away from front door next time. Beach is nice, looks out towards mackinaw island. You can see the harbor and the tour boats coming back or going to the island.

Room Tip: Get one on ground floor looking out at the water. But not by the front door.

We stayed three nights at this hotel and found it to be a good experience. They were in the middle of a major remodel of the hotel. The carpets had been replaced and they were painting hallways. We had to be moved but the staff was very accomodating. We also had problems with the keys at check-in but it was fixed promptly and we had no other problems.

Pros:
~Comfortable bed and pillows
~Good breakfast with a variety of foods. Cereals, eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, breads, etc.
~Friendly staff
~Nice view of Lake.
~Good location, close to restaurants and the ferry locations
~We thought it was nicely maintained.

Cons:
~Small and thin bath towels
~You have to walk outside to get to where breakfast is served. It's fine for nice weather but could be a real bummer in winter or bad weather.
~ Beach is ok, and there are a few chairs. Beach could use some clean up and more chairs.

We would recommend this hotel and woudl stay at it again if in the area again.

We stayed at comfort inn at the last day of our Mackinac island trip and the experience in the hotel spoiled our vacation mood that we got from the beautiful Island. Firstly, The room keys were not working and we were changed rooms twice. Finally, the manager came over and knocked at each door On the neighboring rooms for guests and let us use a free room with her master keys. Then during the trouble for searching the light switch, the rim on the bed broke and fell apart with so much dust causing allergy to me and the manager lady. The cooler knob in the fridge was broken and was unable to use. The bathtub had stains and could be cleaned better. Only good thing was the lake view.. But not worth for staying in this hotel.. Can be better maintained for the money we pay.. Watch out for the pictures in photos section

Overall, mediocre at best. Rooms had odd smell and really need some updating. An older property and it shows. The "beach" is awful and small covered with bird droppings and not really able to use. Front desk staff appeared overwhelmed on approach and rather hectic. Breakfast was decent but overcrowded and had to fight for food. Parking also poor as there are not enough spaces.
