It is always interesting to my husband I to read up on Michigan history. We enjoyed all the information pertaining to this. I am sure we will forget, but that is what makes it fun, you can travel back again.

As with the park on the other side of the Interstate (Straits SP), there were few other people here--which was nice. There is an outdoor area that has a memorial to Pere Marquette along with a map of his travels built into the floor. A few trails and good views of the bridge. As other reviewers stated "not much here", but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Good for people that want a moderate hike/walk and not to be pestered with big crowds.

Not much to see here, since the museum isn't there anymore (burned down), but it's a nice walk through the forest, and with some views of the bridge.

very disappointing . Never going back again. Nothing to really see, you have to walk down a longggggg way to get to the "view " they are talking about. Save your time.

The museum burned down a several years ago. It was a nice quiet walk with a pretty view of the Mackinaw Bridge at the end. A small memorial detailing Father Marquette's life.
