Recommended length of visit: <1 hour
Owner description: At this National Historic Landmark, visitors can learn about 17th century St. Ignace: the Ojibwa who formed the population, the Huron refugees and the French who established the area as the center of fur trade. Check out our award winning Clan Park, the beautiful new Sculpture Park and our Longhouse on our grounds. Also visit Father Marquettes burial site in our Marquette Mission Park. Admission is by donation. Must be seen to be believed! Amazing!

I always enjoy visitting Indian Museums and gaining some knowledge of the various tribal histories and was not disappointed by this museum. Whilst fairly small it is packed with useful information.

Very cool. Really liked the video about the family. No charge to get in....just a donation. You must see the one down the street also. That is worth a donation also

They have done a nice job with this museum. Outside fur traders shared history of the culture and quality of the museum and artifacts were excellent.

Not a huge museum by any means, you could probably do the whole thing in 1/2 hour. But, entry is by donation, so you can give as much or as little as you like. The store is also quite nice, all crafted items were made by Native Peoples of North America.

Museum is geared for younger children; they did have a nice small gift shop with interesting books. It will not take long to walk through. Really nice view in front of the museum.
