I've been to Gilbert's several times and was never overly impressed until this last time. 13 of us showed up with no reservations on a Sunday evening and were immediately accomadated. We had 8 children with us (ages ranged from 1 to 16). It was a lot for any establishment to handle, but our waitresses were extremely gracious about the whole thing. We were isolated from other diners (which made perfect sense) and were also very close to the bathrooms (which was helpful). Everything came quickly and correctly and the one of us who had issues with the food was immediately given another entree free of charge. The waitresses were also very nice to the children. Two of the younger ones ended up dancing around a bit once they finished their meals and no one batted an eye. The hockey game on tv kept the teenage boys' attention. The food was good and filling and all the kids ate. All in all, what could have been a disaster in another restaurant turned into a pleasant evening.
