I like Marias but they are always out of something. Two weeks ago my wife that was 8 months pregnant at the time ordered tamales to go. They let her sit for 27 minutes before saying "oh sorry, we are out of tamales and forgot to tell you. For all her troubles they offered her a free drink. Thanks for nothing! Save your money and time and go to a more professional place for dinner.

We went there because of the name. It is a run down place but the name was the same as a mexican place in our home town in Indiana that we adore so we hoped! We went for a early supper and I did not eat half of my plate it was so unappealing to my palet. My spouse complained about the sweet tasting "wet burrito" he ordered and picked thru it like a child would. Needless to say when we got home I fixed us some real food. We will never return and we are out 25.00 dollars to boot.

We found this place by accident on our way up north during the week. We could smell the delicious aromas as soon as we got out of our car. We decided to try the lunch buffet, because it looked so good, and we were not disappointed. The sauces, (hot and mild) were brought to our table in squeeze bottles instead of the bowls that you usually get in Mexican restaurants. We loved this because we could measure out what we want onto our plates and our food. No mess or waste or trying to wrangle a bowl around. There were fresh tortilla chips, crunchy and soft tortilla shells and tostada shells. Cheese enchiladas had a perfectly seasoned sauce on them. The beef stew with carrots and potatoes was fantastic....beef tender and flavorful, without being stringy, and the broth was all natural. The red beef was tender chunks of beef in a flavorful red sauce, but not too spicy or salty. Loose taco meat was moist and not too fatty. There were all the fixings for taco's...lettuce and real cheeses. Pico de Gallo was all freshly chopped, with generous fresh cilantro in it. The frijoles were obviously home made...not pastey or dry, but a little bit soupy and very flavorful and fresh tasting. Fresh crema was on the buffet in the same type of squeeze bottles as the sauces, and you could tell this was not just sour cream. They had fresh fried cinnamon tortilla crisps, and a nice looking chocolate bundt cake set out for dessert. The food was all hot and fresh, and the restaurant was very clean and organized. The owner was there at the cash register when we cashed out, and she said they strive to make everything authentic. You can tell. She also informed us that they have a Sunday brunch buffet with breakfast items on it.

Love the food. The only reason I'm giving it a 4 instead of a 5 is that it takes soooo long for your food to come.
