This particular night my wife and I decided to meet after work and enjoy a quick dinner. We have lived in the Saginaw area for thirteen years and have never dined at Forbidden City. We both realized the error of our ways. We started with the CRAB CHEESE which was cooked to a crisp perfection. The filling was plentiful with real crab meat actually present and the six provided where plenty due to their size. For our entrees we selected FORBIDDEN CITY SHRIMP and PRINCESS BEEF. The shrimp were large not overcooked and prepared with a nice brown sauce with a hint of spice and ginger. The beef was also in a brown bean sauce sided with onions, mushrooms and topped with peanuts. The beef was tender and very good. My wife prefers a few more vegetables but both dishes were excellent. Also along with this we ordered the COMBINATION CHOW MEIN. Very large and good noodles accompanied with shrimp chicken and beef. I could use a little less sauce but none the less well done with the CHOW MEIN. Service was pleasant but improvements can be made by a smile occasionally. The building is dated slightly and once you are inside it seems clean but has an older restaurant smell. As in all dining experiences there are good and bad, our experience here was very good and will return soon to try some more of their unique dishes. Please keep in mind that this is not $10.00 buffet and some meals are priced accordingly but are worth the money.
