You can visit this zoo in quick time. It's not too big. Some great things to see but the size is a putoff because it gets supercrowded in the summer.

Beautiful remodels, near tons of greta shops and eateries. Clean and safe environment and wonderful animal exhibits! I would recommend this for any family day trip.

Took my ten-year old daughter last fall. The prices were very reasonable, the grounds were well-kept and the attractions were well laid out. Had a nice view of many different animals and displays. Thought they did a great job for being the "Detroit Zoo", don't let them fool you. We have a good one.

They add new animals all the time, and have a very scientific based breeding program. The zoo recently has taken in a 4 year old lion, and 3 grizzly bears who were orphaned. The zoo has many extra fundraising, but educational events, and their own food catering which put on a fabulous Valentine event called Love On The wild Side. It is a great place to walk for exercise. Currently the zoo offers an Easter related event for families.

Love to take a leisurely walk through the Detroit Zoo on a sunny summer day. Been going since I was 2 years old.
