With the exception of some of the animals not coming out of their habitat to be seen, everything was good. I especially like the train.

“Hidden gem”
Reviewed November 26, 2012

Everyday at the zoo is different. I've gone from visitor to a member to a volunteer to a donor and all the time a BIG FAN. Take you time going around and try different times of the year. Might try going at the habitats from different angles. Animals vary where they hide on a daily basis. Be patient as the animals are not there to perform but to be enjoyed. Come often. See you around the campus. Don't forget the Roos way in the back. My favorite Walk About

“Lots of walking”
Reviewed November 20, 2012

The zoo is very large and lots of ground to cover, but could have more animals and more area around the exhibits to view the animals.

“Special Day”
Reviewed November 11, 2012

Maybe because it was 75 degrees, sunny in late October and the Zoo Boo decorations had been put out the day before, but hsi was a wonderful day at the zoo. The animals were out, all doing their thing. One item to note is that at this time of the year a lot of the food kiosks are closed and the train doesn't run. : (

“But it's in Royal Oak!”
Reviewed November 9, 2012

I grew up in Royal Oak and visits to the Zoo were a regular thing. Over the years they have added so many great exhibits. The polar bears are especially fun to watch, as are the penguins.
