Really bad choice of hotels. When we got our room, the room smelled sooo bad of mold that we had to leave. We tried to stick it out but at 1 am a wedding party arrived and the 2nd floor we were on was filled with about 30 people yelling, laughing, etc.

Called front desk about 3 times and even asked them to take it elsewhere with no luck.

Finally at 2:30 I called front desk to say I was leaving and want credit back for room.

Really thin walls, tons of mold in room. Can't open window because room was next to I94

Room Tip: Find another hotel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When I arrived at the check in desk, the woman was on the phone and I heard her say "we don't offer that kind of service, but a plunger can help". Despite my now throbbing spidey-sense, I took the key and went to the room. It smelled of cigarette smoke. So either the manager knew about this smell and gave me the room anyway, or didn't know even though the room had been made up, so wasn't told by the staff? I didnt want to stay but Before i could find my husband to tell my news, he found me and told me there were so many seedy looking characters hanging around, he felt our car wasn't safe in the lot. We sacrificed our pre-paid room and stayed elsewhere

2stars rather than one because the room did look like it had nice linens and the hotel manager really did seem to be trying her best to make something good out of a bad situation. She seemed genuinely embarrassed when I handed in our keys

This is my second stay in a Baymont in Michigan in the last few months. Though my first stay (near Frankenmuth) was worse, this stay wasn't that great. It took a few minutes to be checked in and the lobby looked dirty. The hallways smelled horrible, there were kids running around, and dogs barking. As I neared my room, there was a very loud humming noise (luckily, I did not hear it in my room). The room itself was very basic, seemed clean, but had a horrible smell. Since I had driven 12 hours and had to be up early, I just went straight to bed.

I just don't know what happened to this brand.
