The sandwiches are huge. You get what you pay for, and more. This is basically a bar, with food. Many TV's with sports to watch. This was the first time here for us, the night before flying out of Metro, and it will be a tradition from now on. Our new favorite place to eat by the airport. Food is very good and waitstaff was attentive.

Not too far from the Detroit airport hotels- best deal we had all weekend in Detroit. HUGE burgers for around $5-$6, and one order of fries can feed 3-4 people! Food was great, service was efficient, and was a great sports bar atmosphere.

I think they are all 1/2 lb. burgers, very tasty, all the toppings. Great sandwiches and soups as well. Our new favourite restaurant when flying out of Detroit.

We happened upon the Wheat and Rye several trips ago and continue to return their for our meal on the night before flying out. Their prices are very reasonable and their portions are generous...too generous. This last time, my husband and I both had the fish special...I had cod and he had perch....it was delicious. I mean it is a sports bar...but the food is great. The fish was delicious...both were battered and fried but very lightly battered. The fries and cole slaw were delicious. On several occasions we have gone to the Wheat and Rye and have always ordered something different and have never been disappointed. It's a great joint!!

Not many sports bars offer a buffalo meat burger, but this one does! And their basket of french fries is enough to share between 4 people!
