Folks, If you are looking for a cheap "joint" to grab some sleep before or after a flight, here it is. It is run down and tired but it has a bed, a toilet, a sink and a shower. The bed was clean - no bugs - albeit firm as hell. The walls were as thin as rice paper. Could be noise issues...depending on what you ate for dinner. That said, we were tired so we crashed for 7 hours and got outta there with a quick coffee from the continental breakfast bar - which is the same bleak offering most "joints" have. I am managing your expectations here folks. I guess we thought that we didn't need a luxury hotel if all we needed was seven hours of sleep! Thus, the Baymont. It is about 5 min from parking lot B at the Detroit Metro Airport. Easy ride.
We stayed a night in February. Rooms are average, we were able to leave our car at the hotel rather than the park and fly parking lot. Their breakfast starts at 5:30am, which great when you have an early flight. Basically good value for the money.
Used Baymont for Sleep and Fly for our Family vacation, room was clean and everything worked and went well, shuttle was great and to leave our vehicle at the hotel was good, this was the second time we used this hotel and will use it again, eveything was very good.
