“Lunch before a flight”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 31, 2013

This is in the Days Inn at the Detroit Airport. We went for a late lunch and had wonderful service by an entertaining, happy woman (a sign to me that this is a good place to work.) The sandwiches were well prepared, presented and served. The iced tea just what we needed to rehydrate.

“Simply avoid...”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 29, 2013

We unfortunately were sent to the attached Days Inn by the airlines for them cancelling our flight. We were given an airlines food voucher which they accept at the restaurant so at 10pm, we thought we'd just get something in us. Never again.

We ordered something simple -- chips&cheese and a tuna melt. The chips + cheese was just gross. The chips were flavorless and just felt old. The cheese was that nasty processed goo, but without any spice/flavor. It was probably the worse attempt at cheese sauce. The tuna melt was OK, but the cheese was barely melted and the tuna was still cold. So much for the "melt" concept. I had my expectations set low, but didn't expect this low.

Service was OK. She was attentive in filling drinks, but spent most of the time sitting at the bar watching TV.

I'm fairly confident this place lives off the airlines vouchers since I can't imagine anyone actually spending their money on this food. While it may look convenient, avoid if you can.

“Probably should be rated Poor +”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 22, 2013

There's not a lot of choices where the Day's Inn is located at the Detroit airport, so we decided to try the in-motel restaurant Wings. It did look promising and our waitress was pleasant and helpful, but the food was very ordinary and just a bit pricey. Try to look elsewhere unless you are too fatigued and just don't care, in which case, Wings will be fine.

“greasy”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 23, 2013

Located next to the lobby of the Days Inn Romulus, this restaurant facility initially presented well. An abundance of seating, a flat screen Tv and comfortable bar area all seem to lure the hungry tours and the locals. Unfortunately, that is when the attraction stopped. It was difficult to get the attention of the wait staff, despite the abundance of vacant tables. "Happy Hour" prices were only offered on domestic beer. I was offered the only Chardonnay in the house. My cheese sticks too long to prepare. They were extremely salty. It appeared that other menu items contained the same deficiency. No suitable healthy items were present. Although the cost of the meal was reasonable and the quantity sufficient, the overall experience was less than satisfactory. We dine out frequently, but will not return to this establishment.

“Surprisingly good”

Restaurant was very busy due to bad weather and full hotel. Service was a bit slow but food was good when it arrived.
