We stayed only one nite as part of sleep, park, fly arrangement--stayed the nite before flying out for 10 days. Parking was included. Room was very clean. Decor is very "modern"==lots of glass and aluminum. My major criticiciam is that the doors to the shower area and the separate small toilet/sink area were both frosted glass. If you're sensitive to the light and your spouse is in either of these rooms, the whole bedroom gets lighted up from the spill-over light. Breakfast is good including hot items. Parking is very convenient. This motel is somewhat pricier than others on the list of choices, but the clean, modern room, convenient parking, good breakfast, and quick efficient service are worthwhile if you can swing the additional cost.

We have stayed here twice this summer with their parking for 9 days free program. We also stayed here in April with the same program. Room is always clean, in good repair and the employees go out of their way to be friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: Haven't found a bad room out of the 4 times we have stayed here.

I just stayed at an identical new Springhill Suites in Houston last week, and unfortunately this one is very different. It is just as new but not cleaned well. There are stains on everything; mattresses, ironing boards, exercise equipment. It is a new hotel but unfortunately is quickly failing in cleanliness.

I'm not a big fan of airport hotels as they tend to be run down, maybe a little dirty, noisy, and just not the best places to stay. But I used some of my Marriott points to get a free night on my way to pick up my son from Ann Arbor and this hotel was right in the drive path.

The hotel is great. Rooms are amazingly big and extremely well designed for space and use. Mine had 2 queen beds, a nice working desk and a sectional couch that pulled out into another bed. The beds also have separate reading lamps which worked very well. Definitely possible to read, while others are sleeping. The separate toilet and shower area were well appreciated and the shower was tiled in and very large as well with a glass door. The toilet has a very small sink and a very small shelf, so dont plan on putting lots of stuff there. But there are shelving areas outside in the room and a large closet with ironing board and iron.

The rooms also have a small microwave, coffee pot, and refrigerator. A family of four could easily stay without stepping on each other all the time. And no fighting for the toliet if someone is in the shower is a bonus.

The property must have been recently renovated as everything is sparkling.

Breakfast was "ok". I miss real eggs, but having good coffee, cereals and some fruit and yogurt is ok, esp for the price - its not a Embassy Suites afterall. The waffles were pretty good tho.

The lobby area is also very inviting with lots of comfortable seating and places to hang out.

If I get back to Detroit, I would definitely look at staying here again.

We did the park and fly pkg and it worked out well. The lot was across the street from the hotel. The hotel is really nice when you first walk in. It does need a little tlc and cleaning in the corners but overall it's not bad. The pool area isn't anything special but it's an airport hotel. The hot tub didn't seem overly warm but better than nothing. Breakfast was pretty good. It was free. I would definately recommend this hotel to friends and family.

When my flight from Detroit was canceled, I needed a place near the airport to stay for one night while waiting for my flight the next day. As usual when I need a room on short notice, I phoned Marriott and soon had a booking at the SpringHill Suites. It is very close to the airport (though without airplane noise), and the free shuttle every 30 minutes makes access easy. I got in quite late, so was especially happy that the desk clerk got me checked in very quickly. Thank you! The room was clean, comfortable, and plenty big. One reviewer complained that the placement of the bathroom and shower room is inconvenient if someone needs to use the facilities while someone else is sleeping in the bed (as opposed to the sofa bed). I can see the point, but for a solo traveler like me this was no issue at all. The breakfast was what one expects from SpringHill Suites, so if you have stayed at one before there should be no surprises. It's not fancy, but it will get you started for the day. And to get room, breakfast, and transportation for one call, the moderate price I paid felt like a bargain. My only real complaint was with some noise--not through the walls (I didn't hear any), but from the corridor. There were some people up even later than I was, and the heavy room doors shut quite loudly. This was unpleasant (even more unpleasant than the voices from the corridor before the doors shut), but it was the only disruption. I've stayed in other SpringHill Suites hotels, and I find that they are just about the same, in a reliable and homey sort of way. This one was no different. It's a good choice for a traveler in transit, or even for a longer stay if price is a consideration.
