“Feels like you've stepped back 40 years - in a GOOD way!”
Reviewed February 4, 2011

My wife and I met the owners of Murphy's at a social event about a year ago, and decided to check out their establishment for breakfast ... and, as a result, we've made Murphy's our new go-to place for weekend breakfast and lunch!

Seriously - when you walk through the door, you feel like you've gone back to a time / place where the locals / regulars gather, chat with "their" waitresses every week, and enjoy very generous portions of non-pretentious food with friendly service.

I really enjoy their omelettes for breakfast; make sure you order the O'Brien-style spuds on the side. They serve amazing sliders as well.

We drive over 7 miles one-way to eat at Murphy's, and pass many decent mom-and-pop and chain restaurants on the way ... yes, in our opinion, Murphy's is THAT good!

Plus, the owners host or sponsor charity fundraisers on a regular basis ... supporting groups / causes ranging from the local HS marching band to a local interfaith food pantry that serves the needy.

If you want to dine in a swanky place with high prices, small portions, and snooty service, avoid Murphy's! But, if you want some honest food, prepared and served by nice people at resonable prices, check it out!

“Great Food, Excellent Service and Warm Atmosphere”
Reviewed July 17, 2010

I ordered a carry out from this place after hearing all the talk about it. Excellent food!! I cant wait to go back. It was neat seeing a grandfather and son play a little game I believe they made up and a local doctor or dentist eating it gave it a real ma and pa type of place. The lady who greeted me on the phone new who i was walking in and food was fresh off the grill. Excellent place and i Highly Recommend!

“Best of the Best.”
Reviewed August 6, 2008

I live in Livonia Michigan, and Murphy's has always been my favorite place to eat. My parents have been going there since before they got married, and that was 19 years ago today. Murphy's has the best food, the nicest waitresses and the most loving aptmosphere. Murphy's is all around the best resturant in town.

“Good Grub Good Prices at Murphys”
Reviewed September 22, 2004

Good food, good prices, all the neighbors eat here. Murphys is a neighborhood diner and makes no pretentious efforts to be anything else. All with that home town feel. The food is diner fare with an Irish twist. Fresh, generous portions and a smiling waitress. Norman Rockwell would probably sit at the old spinner type stools at the counter where you have a good view of the cooks and staff doing their stuff. Good luck getting seated without a few minute wait for Sunday morning breakfast!
