“Pretty, especially at night”
Review of Blue Water Bridge

The Blue Water Bridge is a very pretty location, especially at night when it is lit up. Many brides and prom kids have their pictures taken with this pretty sight in the background. There is a nice walkway where one can bike, roller blade or walk for quite a distance. I believe it is part of the Bridge to Bay Trail. There is a little Thomas Edison museum right there, too. "Bathroom facilities" consist of a port-a-john near the Huron Lightship, which is a very interesting attraction of its own along the walk way.

The Blue Water Bridge is a must see attraction in Port Huron. The waters under the bridge are beautiful blue and the boardwalk area is perfect to take a walk, ride a bike, roller blade or simply park your car and watch the boats go by.

Have your id / passport ready, take your sunglasses off and DO NOT make jokes with the immigration guys! You will find yourselves pulled over and several hours behind schedule at best. It's a pretty view but it might be a wait.

Along the river you can walk and see the Blue Water Bridge and ships that pass. We think it is pretty there and relaxing. There is also a park near the bridge and the city life with restaurants isn't very far away. It is a good place to go for the day to relax and maybe take a picnic basket with a blanket, etc. Take your camera for the bridge & ships. :)

I was pleasantly surprised on the cleanliness and amenities of the boardwalk area in Port Huron, Michigan. Visiting this area provided beautiful views of boats on the St. Clair River, fishermen, and gorgeous blue water. Whether you travel to Canada, or just spend the day on the U.S. side, this is worth a drive to see.
