My family goes there every summer and stays for a week, sometimes longer. The campground is VERY well maintained, there are full shower facilites, there is a private beach, and there is a playground. I HIGHLY reccommend this campground for both tent camping and RV camping. This is one that you do not want to miss out on.

We didn't stay at the campground, but I can vouch for the beach. This is a very nice, semi-secluded beach, tucked below a grassy bluff. In my opinion, this is one of the best beaches on Lake Huron. It’s also located conveniently close to the VERY cool town of Port Austin (my favorite town in the thumb).

Our spot, 60's, was very nice but fairly small. It was great because it is right off of the beach and had a great view. The campground and staff were fairly nice, the restrooms and showers were clean and large, but the roads are very small. Will do again.

After dinner at the Fireside head just a short way down the coast to Crescent Bay State Park. There we saw a wonderful sunset over Lake Huron.

Our lot was right on the lake which offered views of the beach, sunsets, etc. some lots are better than others but there are many that offer lake front views. Water is very shallow and very gradually gets deeper. Is very calm a lot of the time offering great swimming for young kids. Beaches are small and not the prettiest, but that's probably because I prefer more tropical locations. Weather was awesome! Mid 70s during the day and 60s at night- perfect for camping!
