We tried this place because we had an internet deal. We have gone back several times since then. The food is really good. The presentation and preparation is a little different, but in a good way. I have had a number of things here, and it all was good. Tonight, I had the salmon. It was just right. I have also had the fish and chips, shrimp and scallops. My wife and I really enjoy eating here.

We should have known when we saw others turn around and walk out without looking at the menu, it was the wisest thing to do. The tables and silverware had a greasy film - the ambiance was similar to a soup kitchen - service nonexistent - and the food was inedible. If I could rate it a zero I would.

I took advantage of a 2-for-1 type gift card to try this restaurant. I found it to be a neat litle casual restaurant with outdoor seating available (in a residential neighborhood for the most part). There was a good variety of fish to choose from, including scallops and shrimp. I had the perch which had a light batter and was tasty, while my friend has the Walleye. I enjoyed the casual atmosphere, especially the nice little neighborhood in old Plymouth, but it was a little pricey when you compare it to other nice restaurants with reputations for having good fish. I was pleasantly surprised to see it offerred Walleye, which was a nice size piece, but it was prepared with a lemon-butter type base (when fried) that I wasn't particulary fond of but my friend enjoyed it. So, it was a nice first-time experience and I would recommend it to anyone to try.

Plymouth Fish Market
It is so much fun to reach into the water and pick out a wonderful gem. The Plymouth Fish Market is the quintessential little fish market and restaurant. The owner goes to the market in Detroit and selects fresh fish every day. To insure this was no fluke, I went to dinner two nights in a row. It was wonderful the first night and better the second evening. They prepared Tilapia and then the second night was wild Salmon. Sometime during dinner you will meet the owner Vince and he will greet with great warmth you don’t find in most restaurants. It is small and accommodates 1-6 people comfortably with 12-14 tables. You walk into a store that has fish cases but NO fish smell. That is my test. It is not fancy, romantic, chic or trendy but something straight out of Southern Italy or Croatia. It does not serve beer or wine but just great seafood. You sit down, look over and point to the fish you would like to consume and how you want it prepared. They have a killer Cole Slaw that has dill in the recipe. It is very affordable with each night under $20. You must try!
