I have dined at the City Park Grill several times over the years while traveling in the area. I always return as I enjoy the historic atmosphere. The bar area is steeped in history; Hemingway frequently attended when it was "The Annex". Although the bar is beautiful, it lacks an assortment of draught beer (no ipa or pale ale?).
I had the Seafood Chowder as an appetizer. This is a medium bodied herby New England style chowder with small shrimp, clams and bay scallops (average). For my entree I had the apple wood grilled ribeye with truffle mashed potatoes and vegetable mix. The ribeye was tender and perfectly cooked and the truffle potatoes and veggies were very good as well.
