“Beautiful place to ride, walk or run!”

Little Traverse Wheelway is a great place for the entire family to see the sights. It goes along the Bay and can take you to Bay Harbor for lunch or towards Harbor Springs.

“Awesome Bike Trail!”
Reviewed July 29, 2013

I am an average leisure bike rider, and love this trail! I have traveled the trail from Petoskey to Charlevoix and really enjoyed it. There are parts in between that are not that exciting but the areas closer to each town more than make up for those. There are great places to stop and look out over the bay and awesome places to eat in both towns. I have biked Mackinac Island several times, and it is hard to beat, but this trail is a close second. If you are a rider that likes to log miles or a rider that enjoys beautiful scenery,or both, you will like this trail. I would recommend it to everyone!

“The most beautiful anywhere!”
Reviewed July 29, 2013

This is the most beautiful paved bike/walking trail I've ever seen. It wraps around Little Traverse bay and goes all the way to Charlevoix. They seem to add to it every year. It looks like maybe they will extend it to Mackinaw City. This trail isn't super hilly so even out of shape folks wouldn't have too much trouble. The views from the trail can't be beat and their are nice facilities and parks along the way.

“Wonderful 36 mile bike trail along shoreline of Little Traverse Bay from Charlevoix through Petoskey to Harbor Springs.”
Reviewed July 28, 2013

You can do as much or as little as you like. We started from a lakeside park just east of Petoskey and rode to Bay View and returned. The trail is paved and the majority is right along the shoreline of Little Traverse Bay with only gradual changes of elevation.. A great way to see the area with lots of opportunity to stop for food or drink or just to enjoy the surroundings.

“Very nice bike ride.”
Reviewed July 18, 2013

The bike ride started out from the bay harbor motorcoach resort and went all the way to the Bob-In custard stand. We could have gone further but round trip it was about 14 miles. Good path, great scenery and lots of people enjoying the area.
