Visited while sailing, anchored for lunch, a swim, and looking at Petoskey stones. Nice sand beach with easy, shallow entry into the water. Stones on the beach, in the shallow, and a bit deeper, if you dug a little. A very pleasant afternoon

We camped in an RV in the Tannery Creek campground. Campground was nice - our loop (at the South end) was very open - few trees - so not a lot of privacy but we liked it. Sites are paved so no mud even after a night of rain! The other loops were much more wooded. The beach was just steps away and was BEAUTIFUL! Water was crystal clear and warm and the colors of the Little Traverse Bay were beautiful in the sunshine! Kids had so much fun on the beach and in the waves. Bathrooms and showers were fine - nothing special - and only 4-5 showers for approximately 80 campsites. Bike path (26 miles from Harbor Springs to Charlevoix) was great, some really scenic spots and easily accessed from the park. The sunsets were AMAZING! Took day trips to Harbor Springs, Charlevoix and Indian River. Hope to go back someday!

nice, clean beach. You can bike in for free. Changing rooms, too. Not too crowded when we were there even tho it was hot out.

When in the area, we always go to Petoskey State Park beach. There are nice dunes on either end of the park. Some of the waterline is rocky, so you may need to walk a bit down the beach to find a good spot. The beach was very clean with no trash.

We like to picnic here but you have to sit far away from the picnic tables and trash cans. Otherwise it is a beautiful park with lots of sandy beach. it can be chilly when it is windy so bring a cover up.
