My husband and I were introduced to the Paw Paw Brewing Company in the Detroit area, at a local restaurant's throwdown event. They came in second place for the throwdown, but in our opinion, they should have been first place! We made a special stop on our trip to Holland to visit the brewery and were very pleased with what they had to offer! I read several reviews prior to visiting that were complaining about the food selection, and I'm assuming that they failed to check out the website to see that the food menu is very limited. We visited the website beforehand, and decided to eat dinner elsewhere, and went to the brewery after. We didn't have any food, but they have a small kitchen, and I'm sure whatever they make is just as good as their beer. My husband got a flight and sampled 6 of their beers. He rated each one of them at a 4, or above. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they had their own hard cider. It was fabulous! The waitress we had was a little curt, but the bartender (who eventually checked on us and took care of us the rest of the night) was AWESOME! Not a really big place, but it was worth the stop. We will be back again, with friends in the fall. Can't wait!!
