This really is a wonderful place to spend a couple of nights. The view from the balcony was unspoilt and easy access to the beach. The staff were really the best I've come across. The lounge area was inviting and the breakfasts had a good choice.
We ate in the restaurant across the hotel car park which we can recommend both for price and quality of the food.

We had a wonderful four-night stay at this beautiful hotel, checking out the day after New Year's Day. We had a suite overlooking Lake Superior, and enjoyed watching several freighters head south for the Soo Locks, and some heading back north to go around Whitefish Point. VERY nice, roomy bathroom in the suite! The weather ranged from the blustery winter chill to a fantastic sunrise followed by a gorgeous day to visit the partially frozen Lower and Upper Tahquamenon Falls (a short drive west from Paradise). Service was superb; the breakfast buffet was excellent and well-stocked, even though there were only a few guests at the hotel (due to the scarcity of snow at this time, there were few skiers and snowmobilers--sad for the hotel but nice for us!). Excellent, large indoor pool, whirlpool, and sauna. Rates were very reasonable, especially considering the high quality and excellent service offered. Strongly recommend this hotel in this beautiful part of Upper Peninsula Michigan.

Room Tip: Water-view rooms are a delight

We stayed for a week in a beautiful room with a "breathtaking" gorgeous view on Lake Superior (fantastic sunrise). The staff is extremely nice and helpful, the hotel is very quiet and peaceful, we wish more hotels would enforce the "No Drinking on site policy". For some people vacation time is not a synonym of party, but time to rest and recover surrounded by nature. If you just want to relax on the beach or swim safely for hours, you could not find a better place. We fell in love with Paradise and Whitefish Bay. We plan on returning for another rejuvenating week next summer!

Room Tip: Worth paying the extra to have a view on the Lake!

The Upper Peninsula of Michigan is such a unique place, very quiet and remote with spectacular scenery.
We stayed at the Best Western Lakefront Inn in Paradise, MI the first night of our week spent traveling throughout the U.P. This place set the stage for the rest of the week. Our room was on the lake side, overlooking Whitefish Bay. The room was large, comfortable and tastefully decorated. The Queen size bed was very comfortable.
The best part of the stay was the view from our bed that night. We opened the curtains and were treated to a spectacular view of the night sky. Orion shone as we'd never seen it before, along with a multitude of brilliant stars. Also, the navigation channel nights from the Great Lakes St Lawrence Seaway were visible on the water. We found the scene hypnotically beautiful.
The breakfast provided was adequate with a hot offering as well as the usual cereals and breads, more than enough to energize us for the adventures that lay ahead of us that day.
The staff was very friendly and helpful and offered ideas for dining and for traveling the back roads of the U.P.
The Best Western is a sure bet in Paradise.

When we arrived the entire town was without power. The staff couldn't have been nicer or more accomodating, giving us a room on the main level (2nd floor) so we wouldn't have to haul luggage up or down stairs without the use of the elevator, offering the use of flashlights and unlocking our door every time we came and went. We had a beautiful room with a large balcony right on the lakefront where we enjoyed the view and a bottle of wine until the power came back on. Probably the cleanest hotel we've ever seen. We enjoyed it so much we wanted to stay an extra night so the staff made a few changes to room assignments so we didn't have to schlep our stuff to a different room.

It was too cool to enjoy the beach but it is right outside the hotel. Breakfast is the usual buffet fare but the breakfast room was bright and cheerful. All the guests seem to be really enjoying themselves.

Room Tip: All the lakeside rooms have a balcony or patio, 2nd and 3rd floors have the best views. Pets are not...

My wife and I spent two days on Mackinac Island, and decided to spend two more touring the upper peninsula, so we booked this hotel in Paradise. Unfortunately, we only booked one night at this hotel. We loved it so much, we desperately wanted to stay another night, but they were full so we had to leave Too bad. We had a lakeside room that was simply spectacular. Very clean with a simply incredible view of Whitefish Bay. The moonrise and sunrise were awesome over the bay! Nice balcony with two chairs and a table outside. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the little restaurant located right in front of the hotel had excellent food. My wife wants us to plan to come back as soon as possible. She was very disappointed that we could not have more nights there. You will be blown away! Definitely plan to stay more than one night. It's worth every penny.

Room Tip: Definitely get a lakeside room because of the view, but all rooms are excellent.

Horrible experience. It is clean and nice, but if you encounter any problems, the owner is rude and not helpful. Tried to report a problem to general manager and owner. It took her 10 days to reply to me and she was rude and did not resolve issue. I will NEVER stay there again. I would rather sleep on the ground at the state park than stay at Best Western Paradise again.
