“Dive with the best food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 8, 2014 via mobile

If you have not been here before it is the kind of place that can be scary from the outside unless you are a local. It's even a little scary inside! It's old, no frills and they use plastic dinnerware etc. However if you want the freshest fish possible you won't be disappointed. There is a limited menu. The main fare is whitefish fish and chips but you can vary that by getting the fish broiled for $2 extra and you can have a choice of baked or fried potatoes. The walleye is also on the menu along with a shrimp dinner which is not local. Today they had the smoked fish chowder which is not a listed menu item. Our waitress could not have been friendlier or more efficient. If the rating were based on fish and chips only they would be the runaway winner but when you consider the negatives such as cash only, $2 to broil the fish, and the so what dive type surroundings I had to give 4 instead of 5 stars. The fish and chips are so good that they really carry the most significant weight in the rating.

“This is the place for fish n chips”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 8, 2014

You may just drive by this place and not give a second thought....turn around, you will want to have fish and chips here. There are no specific hours, as soon as they run out of fish they close. It happened while we were there, we were among the last to get our food. The fish is caught fresh daily and served that day. The waitress tells us they serve 200 pounds a day!. Prices are reasonable, the fish is beautiful white fish and not greasy. They only take cash so be prepared.

“It doesn't get much fresher.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 7, 2014

I kid you not...they were unloading the fish fresh from the lake when we pulled up and they were cutting them up in to filets just to try and catch up. That's how fresh it was. And the food was AMAZING! Stop here and eat!

“Beat fish and chips around !!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 7, 2014 via mobile

Me and my wife Chris went here on July 3 rd !! We are from northeast Pennsylvania !! My name is tiny !! Paradise michigan is very beautiful and a must see town !! We went to see the falls up the road in the morning saw the sign for the fish house noticed they didn't open til noon !! We didn't stay at the falls for that long due to the hundreds of mosquitoes that were on us only five minutes into our visit !! So we left and went to whitefish pointe !! We stayed there til about 1130 and went back for noon to the fish house !! Got there about 5 to 12 had to wait til twelve sharp ! Was talking to another couple and asked what's good he said the whitefish was to die for and the fish chowder !! We went in great service sat us down we ordered a pop and both got the three piece fresh whitefish and chips !! Outstanding and super yummy could of are ten pieces !! The owner was cutting up the fish as we were talking !! All I can say is omg goodness !! Very crispy light battered whitefish !! And chips !! Must get there and have some !! I have to say it's the best fish I have ever had !! Will be back on our next visit without a doubt !! So get there soon before I eat all the fish and leave none for you !! You won't be dissatisfied !! See ya there !! Great job and awesome fish and chips !!

“Yummy”

Great, fresh fish! The whitefish and trout were our favorite. Baked potatoes are great too! Cash only and check the hours of operation before going too.
