If you have not been here before it is the kind of place that can be scary from the outside unless you are a local. It's even a little scary inside! It's old, no frills and they use plastic dinnerware etc. However if you want the freshest fish possible you won't be disappointed. There is a limited menu. The main fare is whitefish fish and chips but you can vary that by getting the fish broiled for $2 extra and you can have a choice of baked or fried potatoes. The walleye is also on the menu along with a shrimp dinner which is not local. Today they had the smoked fish chowder which is not a listed menu item. Our waitress could not have been friendlier or more efficient. If the rating were based on fish and chips only they would be the runaway winner but when you consider the negatives such as cash only, $2 to broil the fish, and the so what dive type surroundings I had to give 4 instead of 5 stars. The fish and chips are so good that they really carry the most significant weight in the rating.
