Cook's Farm Dairy is great!
For one thing, they sell healthier products, which are free of rBGH (suspected of turning normal tissue into cancer cells and banned in the EU, Canada and several other countries). For another, their ice cream is rich, delicious and made on site. Their big white barn is iconic in the area, and you can drive right through and get ice cream in flavors such as Cow Pie or Blue Moo, along with milk, cheese and other products.
If you want to take the kiddos to see the cows, they don't mind. There's a pavilion filled with pumpkins in the fall and sometimes, they bring the baby calves near the pavilion for children to see. It's a real farm, and it smells that way, but hey, it's a lot better than fake food alternatives!
