We stayed in the camping cabin back in behind the motel in the campground area.
Absolutely great owners - no complaints at all there. Very friendly and helpful and pleasant to talk to.
The camping cabin is basically a very good quality shed, with a few windows (with curtains) and a door. There's a shelf thing along the one wall and a permanent bed/bunk across the the back. You supply the sleeping bags, air mattress etc.
There is also a sort of fold down bunk above the one single bunk. The fold down bunk is suspended by chains. We didn't trust the upper bunk so we just used that area for storage, and one of us (2 adults) set up our mat and sleeping bag along the edge on the floor. We were worried that if the upper bunk support system failed (and it does have a warning that it can't hold over 150 lbs I think it was) that the weight of it and the person sleeping up there could seriously injure the person sleeping on the lower bunk. This is the reason for 4 stars instead of 5. We honestly didn't have a problem with one of the people being on the floor though - it was clean in there (there was even a little rug) - we sleep on the floor of our tent.
The washroom shower for the campers appears to be one of their former cabins in the motel area. A very short walk down to it from the cabin. It is very dated inside and a bit musty smelling, but very clean. It is a bathroom like you'd find in a motel, so I imagine it might be a problem if the campground was busy because if someone is in the shower you can't use the toilet. It wasn't busy when we were there though so it was no problem for us. There is a room in the washroom cabin where we were also able to sit and take advantage of the motels wifi which we were very pleased with too.
We love the concept of this camping cabin, and wished that other campgrounds would do it. It was wonderful not dealing with the dew and moisture of a tent, not having to set up take down the tent, or worry about a storm that rolled through one night we were there.
