I can only imagine how beautiful this place is in the Fall. The peak is amazing. What a view. I was surprised at the amount of tourist on a cold and rainy day.

“Nice in the evenings”
Reviewed July 25, 2012

Took an evening hike to the top of the peak four evenings ago while visiting the park-- easy drive to the small parking area, then a brisk half mile hike to the top.

View from the top of the entire park, with a 360 degree panorama, including Lake Superior. Not a great view, like at Lake of the Clouds, but still very good.

The stairs and wooded walkways were very nice!

“Summit Peak”
Reviewed July 9, 2012

I'm not sure this is worth the walk. There are somany beautiful places to hike to in the park that if you want to miss something, miss this. For some folks it will be a difficult walk, especially if you're older and not used to climbing. Glad we did it, but there's so much park to see we will not do it again.

“Beautiful short hike, see wildlife if you are quiet”
Reviewed June 27, 2012

Easy hike from the parking lot to the summit, with a cute tower you can climb for great views. Go there and BE QUIET - you will see many birds, squirrels, chipmunks, and more.

LOTS of stairs but worth the climb. This is a highlight of the Stae Park along withLake in the Clouds and Presque Isle Waterfalls.
