My wife and I stayed here using our Choice Rewards Points during a trip to watch our Boise State Broncos play Michigan State in football. The gentleman at the front desk was especially welcoming and helpful, allowing us to check in early plus giving us great ideas for getting to and from the stadium along with directions and ideas for what to do and see in Lansing. The room was very clean and spacious. The included breakfast offered a myriad of hot and cold choices. The hotel is located in proximity to a number of eateries, i.e. a Tim Hortons is immediately next door. It's right off US Hwy 96 which is quite convenient. I also appreciated and made good use of the hotel's business center. We'd definitely stay here again if in the area.

My husband and I stayed here for a Michigan State football game. The tailgating area and stadium are just a few miles away. You cannot walk there but it is a close drive. We took a taxi which was great. Hotel staff was friendly. Room was clean and spacious. The hotel does offer a continental breakfast in the morning. Our room was on the second floor which we used the front staircase to get to. I'm not sure where the elevator was. There are quite a few restaurants in the nearby area. If your looking for a late night option, then your going to have to settle for fast food which is located across a main road. This not in an area where there are bars open late, so if your looking to party after the game then your going to have to stick closer to campus.

Stayed for one night after seeing a show at the Wharton Center. The staff was friendly and the hotel and room were very clean. The roll-in shower was also very nice and accessible for the wheelchair. The breakfast array was great - hot eggs and sausage, fruit, cereal, juice, etc. Very nice. The breakfast area was also really spacious. A lot of hotels, the tables are so cramped together you can hardly sit. I would definitely stay here again if I was in the area.

Just completed the 3rd annual Great Lakes Harmony Brigade at this property. Attached to the Okemos Conference Center it provided all we needed to have a successful weekend meeting. The rooms are clean, modern and quiet. Breakfast is included and the food was terrific.

Room Tip: Just ask. They are very helpful.

Used mapquest and trip advisor to find this place and I feel we got the best value by far for our dollars in the E.L. area. Room was clean, towels were large, breakfast was hot with lots of choices, desk was friendly (especially the cookies on the counter), wifi worked great, tv large with good cable choices (altho' we were missing a channel guide). No complaints at all about this property.

Room Tip: 1) No elevator- ask for a first floor room. 2) When leaving, follow signs to I-96 access. Do NOT tr...

We've stayed at this hotel before, but it had been a while. It was still very clean and the breakfast is really nice--lots of choices and healthy ones too. The rooms are clean and quiet. We have a dog, so it was nice that it was only $25 for the whole stay. We also got a wonderful rate of $75 a night (make sure to call, not just book online). There's also free wi-fi.

After staying at several other hotels, we missed not having a refrigerator in the room, especially when staying longer than one night. It's nice to store things to eat. The pillows aren't that great--small and flat. The biggest bummer is that we thought there was an exercise facility (and this may be my fault for not reading the info more carefully), but it turned out it's located off the premises somewhere and you have to give a $20 deposit to use it (returned when you're finished). That's just too inconvenient when traveling with a two-year-old. They could just take one room and put some exercise equipment in it (we saw this in another hotel where we stayed).

When we first arrived the front desk lady was constantly on the phone. Every time I walked by thinking I'd ask her something, she was busy talking, and it looked like it was personal calls. However, the rest of the staff was wonderful, especially the breakfast staff people who always asked if anyone needed anything else before they shut it down.

Overall, it's a great price and location. It's clean and breakfast is good. It's great if you're traveling with a pet. Just don't expect many luxuries.

We stayed at this hotel for one night and was very disappointed with the room. The location is great, and the exterior looks good, but the interior is in need of a lot of TLC. The furniture in the lobby and common areas is worn and looked dirty. I made sure not to sit on them. The room smelled of old smoke, which seems to be in the carpet, and curtains. The room needs to be refurbrished and the entire hotel could use an overhaul. The room appeared to have been cleaned by housekeeping, but the odor in the halls and room made me think that is could use a makeover. I would NOT recommend this hotel even for a short stay. There are only a few hotels in the area, and they all seem to get booked up. I would NOT stay here again. Because the hotel interior was in such poor condition, I did not eat any breakfast. However, I noticed that there were eggs, sausage, waffles, danishes, etc.The hotel could probably be nice if it receives some TLC as soon as possible
