What can you say about a place that consistently wins the best sandwich shop for years and years on end? The sandwiches are truly amazing works of art. They are piled high and built with loving care from the hand of Ernie himself. This place is a neighborhood landmark and has got a devoted following the Catholic Church would be jealous of. For a place that has no advertising, doesn't take credit cards, has no official menu, no sit down dining, is small and cramped- the line up to get food from this place can go out the door. Plan accordingly if you're in a rush as Ernie will also make everyone feel at home here. He is a one man attitude adjustment; no one leaves this place feeling bad and once you can unhinge your jaw to bite into one of his sandwiches, you'll understand why they've been in business for over 60+ years. One sandwich at a time and made lovingly by one of the most down-to-earth generous people you'd want to meet in Ernie. For a mere $5, it's more food than most people can handle. One will never look at Subway, Tubby's Quizno's or any other sandwich place the same after dining here.
