I usually avoid bars with names like Alibi and have ignored this local one for years. But we got one of restaurant gift cards - and the selection of participating places was very limited (e.g., $5 off one $20 entree is not a deal). But The Library was local and we didn't want to cook. So we were pleasantly surprised the moment we walked in. To the left was the predictably loud sports bar section but to the right was real dining area. We were immediately seated, offered a long list of beers, and all of the day's specials. Turns out Monday's are half-off pizzas or something and I'm a pizza kind of guy. But we saw one being served up and we decided we didn't want a thick crust pie. The food and beers were good but our waitress did orphan us once or twice. In the end they said our happy hour purchases voided the gift card coupon. I can understand that but they obviously run too many concurrent specials/discounts. It through them for a loop. So the coupon was worth $6 off the entire bill (not a deal). But it was a pleasant surprise. Worth the look.
