Served breakfast was slow. Had to ask for coffee top up. Liked the convenience. Would try other restaurants in the area.

“Gem of a Restaurant”
Reviewed November 11, 2012

Be ready to be greeted with an imaginative menu with food that actually lives up to the menu desription. The food is extremely creative, presented well and delicious.
Service is gracious and attentive. Don't miss this. You don't need to stay at the Baronette Renaissance to eat here.

“Who'd thunk it?”
Reviewed November 2, 2012 via mobile

That in Novi, Michigan there exists a wonderful wine, cheese and sausage market with a wine bar serving food (with bottle sales) and a full-service restaurant all adjacent to each other just off the lobby of The Baronette hotel. The wine-by-the glass menu was stellar and reasonably priced. The menu is a perfect mix of small plates and entrees. The charcuterie is largely homemade and worth a visit just for the sausages and pates. Mussels are a regular feature and were warm and tender. One measure of any restaurant is the roasted chicken it serves. Toasted Oak's version simply was as good as any I have had anywhere at any price. Crispy skin wrapped around moist and tender meat. The Au Jus gravy was good enough to sip with a straw. This place is a gem! Who'd thunk it!

“Lovely interior and very creative Brunch Menu”
Reviewed November 1, 2012

Entering the establishment you are greeted with what feels like a small wine and cheese market. It is very inviting and has a great selection of wines, including an excellent representation of Michigan wines. The dining room is well appointed and comfortable. We were seated by the two-sided fireplace which added to the ambiance of the room.

The fruit bruschetta was excellent with the Zingerman's goat cheese. The apples were prepared perfectly maintaing some firmness while still maintaining flavor. I would have this dish any time of day but it was a great beginning to a Saturday brunch, especially with the excellent mimosa's.

I was excited to see poutaine on the menu. It was average but still very filling. The poached egg came out over cooked but was corrected right away with one that was perfectly prepared.

There were several other menu items that sounded excellent and I will be visiting Toasted Oak Grill again to sample some of the other options.

Attentive service that was nice to see on a Saturday late in the morning.

All in all I would say to try Toasted Oak Grill & Market.

“Great food and wine”
Reviewed September 22, 2012

Fantastic experience. What a surprise to find that quality! Excellent win cellar. Selections of wines from all around the world, selected with high knowledge. Food was excellent, with an amazing cheese selection, best french cheese like Epoisse and prepared with attention. You can buy your wine and cheese and eat there with a really affordable cork fee. Burger was amazing and surprisingly gourmet, sandwiches turn to be beautifull and excellent. Really highly recomended
