Only 1 waitress at our 6 pm Friday dinner. No bread, butter, or sugar on table. Bartender kept slamming cooler shut and it was so loud we jumped every time! We mentioned it to waitress to no avail. That was the only way the cooler door would stay shut! Menu described "two seven once chicken breasts Chicken Marsala," I was intrigued. Breasts that were once chicken? Turns out it was a typo for "ounce," I ordered and got only one breast. Waitress didn't know it came with pasta noodles and let me order unnecessary sweet potato fries. My complaints were ignored. The chicken was good, though
I am not sure how we all ended up thinking that this was just a hard drinking bar and forget the food but such is what we had thought for years. Well shows you that sometimes an old dog does learn! Truly a good atmosphere and tasty too,
Stopped in on a Sunday evening with our two young children. Shawn, who greeted us recommended the pourch which was very pleasant. After we both decided to have the fresh caught whitefish Shawn stated that there was no whitefish as the boat was unable to go out today. I liked this as it would have been truly fresh, not some frozen reserve for days when the boat fails to go out. Ended up with excellent meals. Service was excellent! I hope the owner appreciates Shawn's dedication to his work there. We will return, perhaps for whitefish next time
We spent a week in Northport and found ourselves coming back most nights to Stubbs. Tried different foods every night and were not disappointed! The waiters were chatty and helpful in our selections; the outside patio was a delightful way to people watch; the dinner servings large enough that we could take some home if we wanted. We already miss the great meals we had there and when we return to Northport, we'll be returning to Stubbs for sure!!
