We had driven past the sign on the expressway on several occaisions and decided on this sunny fall Saturday to take an adventure. WE LOVED IT. There was a wedding being held in the garden so for a while part of the grounds were closed. Is it the best manicured grounds ...No. But it is a delightful unexpected garden with walks in the woods to the River with over 100 acres. Some trails are minimally maintained and muddy but seeing the old water wheel was great. Seeing the mature herb garden was great. The miniture trains running in several areas were a little curiosity. The old houses on the grounds were rustic and just delightful. We did not stop for lunch but the little tea house looked good for the sandwiches and wraps that they were offering. A fun afternoon visit for a few hours of walking. It is not Meijer Gardens of Grand Rapids or Butchardt Gardens of Victoria BC, but it is a nice garden for a visit for a few hours!
