Description: Over the last 25 years, Brewster's Italian Cafe` has grown from a small bakery to a full-service Italian restaurant in the heart of Harbor Country. Located in downtown New Buffalo, Michigan, Brewster's offers seasonally-inspired items and locally sourced ingredients that change every meal, every day. Our chefs meticulously select only the highest quality ingredients that reflect the true nature of what it means to eat rustic Italian cuisine. Whether you're looking for a classic plate of spaghetti and meatballs or a handmade pizza from our wood fire oven, Brewster's Italian Cafe is more than just your average Italian restaurant. Along with our ever-changing menu, we also make most of our desserts right here at the restaurant, including our creme brûlée and tiramisu. We proudly serve local craft brews from the likes of Greenbush Brewery and Bell's Brewing along with our extensive craft cocktail list featuring the finest of liquor from Journeyman Distillery. Our outdoor patio is perfect for any occasion as we accommodate to your specific needs-whether it be a special event or just a night out with the girls, Brewster's has something for everyone. Our menu changes every day, our chefs are constantly creating new dishes and flavor combinations, but our tradition remains the same from day one: provide the highest-quality ingredients that reflect the beauty in the simplicity of Italian fare.

Had a party of 3. All dinners were excellent although a little pricey. That said would definitely go back. Our waitress was very sweet and we sat near the open kitchen which is fun to watch. Had great wine, too.

This was our second trip to New Buffalo, and because of our great meal here the first time, we had to come back. It lived up to our memories and is still a great place!

We had a longer wait that we would have liked, but the food is fantastic. Ignore the Chicago comments below; this is not meant to be a big fancy Chicago restaurant. It's a cozy little family restaurant with fantastic food and great service. The menus change daily and the dinner for two option ($34) is a great value: each get a soup or salad, share a two-topping wood fire pizza, share an entree (we had roast chicken with cheese-filed pasta purses), and includes coffee, tea, and cookies (I had white chocolate macadamia, my wife had the royal deluxe) for dessert.

There were plenty of leftovers for a snack the next day and the only thing we wish was that it was warmer to eat out on their patio. We will certainly be back again the next time we are in town!

My wife and I have patronized Brewster's Italian Cafe for over twenty years, and it is still our favorite area dining place. The atmosphere is intimate and friendly, and the food is consistently very good. In addition, the wine list modestly-priced and complements the menu nicely. The beer list is extensive with selections to suit any taste. Thier wood-fired oven-baked pizza is simply the best,...no contest!

Brewster's is a very popular place and you will have to expect a lengthy wait on weekend evenings in the summertime. The bar area provides a comfortable place to pass the time while waiting. Generally, the service at Brewster's is very good with congenial and efficient servers. Yes, on very busy evenings the wait staff can be quite harried and not inclined to be chatty and patient. (Put yourself in their shoes,...they are only human.)

This place is as good as it gets these days. If you want Italian food just like they have in Chicago, then, STAY in Chicago!!! If you want a great local Italian-style meal in a cozy setting, then Brewster's is your kind of place.

Service does not match the mandatory gratitidue for a family 5, as a 20% mandatory is included on the check. Coming from Chicago, the tip for larger parties are common but I have never been charged for myself, wife and 3 daughters. In addition, if you have kids, as you will be sat on the "take-out" side, instead of the nicer fireplace side. Options on menu for teenage kids does not exist, as they order off the more expensive adult items. Recommend another restaurant that caters to their customers, not exploits them.

We have eaten at Brewster's Italian Cafe since it opened several years ago. The food has always been wonderful and the atmosphere reminds one of being in Italy. There are numerous choices on the menu and everything is made fresh daily. The Cafe always is full and you often have to wait for a table, but the wait is worth it.
