“Ok home cooking”
Reviewed November 28, 2011

I got an omelet, my husband got a hamburger. Both were good, nothing to die for, but good.

“Excellent”
Reviewed November 15, 2011

Nice homey atmosphere, great breakfast, huge portions and nice waitstaff. However, they close at 2 p.m. sharp and tell you that when you walk in the door at 1:30 p.m.and want fed. Business must be great at Rosie's because I saw them run off at least 4 different groups of people with that warning. They must not need the business. I guess I assume that if you're open til 2 p.m., that means you can order until 2 p.m....NOT HERE. Good food, but go early or find somewhere else.

“Good Breakfast”
Reviewed October 6, 2011

Ate breakfast there with the family. Food was good, service was good. They wouldn't substitute from the menu (say, swap out fries for toast) but that's okay. They also didn't want to add more bacon to my son's order. Service was just a tad slow, but nothing to complain about, and they were pretty busy. The waitress brought my son a coloring book, crayons, and even a couple of toys to play with while we waited for the food. The food tasted good, and was reasonably priced. The atmosphere was cozy. This one's not at the top of my list, but I would eat there again.

“Dated decor, basic menu, average food.”
Reviewed August 22, 2011

I wouldn't rate it bad, but can't rate it great, so just so-so. Good if you have kids.

“GOOD AMERICAN DINER”
Reviewed August 9, 2011

Rosie's has been a fixture in New Buffalo for at least 30 years under all sortrs of different owners - but - the food has always been plain, good valued, American diner-type foods. The breakfasts are reasonably priced and will fill you up! The lunches have a slight chech bend - they have roast pork with saurkraut + rye bread, they also do an Indiana style breaded pork tenderloin (served on a hamburger bun) that is crispy, thin and delish! I like their eggs, hash browns and bacon - I prefer the breakfasts. I have been going to the Michigan Berrien area for years and always stop at Rosie's - one of the few places around that the yuppies have not corrupted nad the locals still go to!
