“Love the Galien Room!”
Reviewed August 19, 2012

My girlfriend and I stayed in the Galien Room and absolutely loved it! It was spacious, with a great hot tub, awesome multi head shower, and close to everything. It was wonderful to be able to walk everywhere in town plus the beach. We can't wait to go back!!!

My Wife and I stayed in The Galien Room for a nice relaxing weekend. The room was spacious with an excellent jacuzzi and relaxing shower. The king bed was softer than the one we had at home but we still slept really well. The wi-fi was easily available for those needing to plug in from time to time.

The location was great as we were able to walk into town and to the beach multiple times every day. It was also about a three minute walk from Redamak's.

The staff was very nice and helpful when I made the reservation an through the entire weekend.

We really enjoyed our stay and definitely recommend this for a relaxing weekend away.

At the last minute we decided to go away for the weekend. New Buffalo Inn had about the only room we could find and we took their last one. It was a 2 bedroom cottage so we had more space than needed for the two of us. It was clean and pleasant, but sits directly on Rt. 12 but the noise was quite tolerable. However, the location, walking distance to downtown New Buffalo and almost directly across from a full-service supermarket made it ideal. The owners were pleasant and the price reasonable. We also enjoyed the hot tub that was directly next to the cottage. A pleasant stay and one we would consider repeating.

Room Tip: We had the Lighthouse cottage because it was only room available. It is a 2-bedroom cottage but it...

We escaped Chicago for a relaxing day away visiting wineries and enjoying the New Buffalo Inn & Spa. The room was very nice with a patio overlooking a nicely manicured lawn. Initially I was a little worried because the pictures of the room look a little to rough, but in truth the rooms were very nicely maintained and everything appeared new or well maintained. I would certainly return to this Inn for a relaxing get-away.

Note that the one drawback to this location is it is on a fairly busy street and you can hear the road noise during the day. I also wish there had been a guide to turning on the shower! We both struggled a bit figuring that out!

Room Tip: There was no ice in the room, so if you are keen on having ice in your cocktail bring your own! :-)

A lovely cozy little intimate spot to celebrate our anniversary. We stayed in Miss Eber Knight-the smallest room-but such a perfect little corner sanctuary. Loved sitting out on the deck for morning coffee and early evening glass of wine while looking out into the gardens. Room had every accommodation you could want from skylights, jacuzzi tub, fireplace, refrig and micro. Loved the close strolls to beach, sunsets, great restaurants, bike trails and wineries. Definitely want to return.
Super getaway from Chicago pace.

Room Tip: Miss Eber Knight-smallest coziest room- is a little more secluded and private.

My husband and I were looking for a short getaway from Chicago and, after reading the reviews on this inn, I figured it would fit the bill. We generally stay in nice hotels -- independently-owned and chains -- but my daughter and I had stayed at several inns during East Coast college visits, and this seemed similar enough. Don't get me wrong -- it was clean, and while we had no personal interaction with the staff, their emails and notes were friendly. But rather than an "inn," the rooms seemed set up like cottages that just all happened to be connected in one building. That's fine if that's what you're looking for, but it was not what I had hoped.

Other little things just seemed a bit odd. The bathroom was huge but rather empty. It included a relaxing, two-person Jacuzzi and a nice double-jetted shower, but nothing more in the sink area than a small pedestal sink. There was plenty of room for a small vanity or counter for toiletries, yet all that was offered was a small rack on the wall. And we needed to transfer the one bar of soap from the sink to the shower and back again.

The hardwood floors gleamed, but more than one small throw rug by the sink would have been nice. The "full kitchen" can be useful if you are staying for an extended period, but the pictures online are deceiving. The website makes it look as though there is a separate kitchen, when, in reality, the room features a stove, dishwasher, sink and fridge five feet from the foot of the bed. The fireplace worked well and added a nice touch.

For a small, family-priced motel, this is nice, clean, and friendly. And it might be just what you are looking for in a home-away-from-home. But don't expect more than that.

Room Tip: Check last-minute deals on the home page of the website -- www.newbuffaloinn.com
