We did our pilgrimage to Michigan to pick peaches and blueberries. After a long hot day we were looking for a place to have a great meal. We used to go Hannah's for their dumplings every year(just like Grandma used to make) but knew it closed a few years ago due to the poor economy. We were pleasantly surprised to see the restaurant open again but under a new name- Hannah's and Harry's. First thing we asked was if the dumplings were still available. No such luck but we were willing to give the new menu a try, We were not disappointed. We started out with peel and eat shrimp. We had 8 very large and fresh shrimp with seafood sauce that had a little horsey kick.
Mark had a poached walleye and mashed potatoes. I had macaroni and cheese with lobster.
I had the sweet potato chips. Both of us chose the side salad.
The salad was a mix of different leaf lettuce with a few tomatoes. Crisp and fresh. Dinner rolls whole grain seeded were warm and tasty. We were both satisfied with our main dishes. The walleye was light.not fishy tasting, topped with a bit of cheese. The macaroni and cheese was loaded with lobster. We washed it all down with lemonade and strawberry lemonade.
Service was professional and spaced enough so we did not feel rushed but did not have to wait long between plates.
So it looks like we have a new tradition.
