Not being a fan of Mexican food, I did not frequent Poncho’s too often. When I did, I found the food to be of good quality and full of flavor. This was not a restaurant (such as Taco Bell) that served “popular” Mexican foods or foods that were not really authentic in nature. They served the kind of Mexican foods you might find in Mexican homes and in Mexican restaurants found in Mexico rather than Americanized versions of Mexican foods. Those who enjoyed this fare are currently in a saddened state as there was a fire at the restaurant last year which closed the restaurant and no reopening date has been announced.
