“Good BBQ”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 4, 2013

Above average BBQ. Bit of a drive in the small New Baltimore. Meat fall off the bones. If you don't want to take the time to do your own, this good replacement.

“Great BBQ Food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 15, 2013

Having a son who competes on the southern BBQ circuit, we were interested in seeing how a BBQ restaurant in Michigan would compare. Surprisingly, Bad Brad's BBQ does a pretty good job on their food. My favorite is the brisket, but their pulled pork, chicken, and side dishes are good eating, and you can't go wrong with any of your choices.

“Good BBQ!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 8, 2013

We eat at Brad's once in awhile and it is good. They recently changed some things on the menu which makes it a little more expensive but still reasonable. The chicken nachos are the best!

“BEST BBQ AROUND!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 8, 2013

I was looking forward to this place, but worried about the wait on a Friday evening. Not a very big place, but it has a lot of character. Stacks of wood everywhere give it a good feel of a smokehouse. After 20 minute wait, or about half of a large mason jar of Atwater beer, we were seated in huge both. For 2. She has a full slab of ribs with cornbread, coleslaw and mac and cheese. I had the pick two BBQ, which was sliced brisket and pulled pork. Bad Brads beans are kinda like chili in a way. Everything was great. Tab was less than $60, without the drinks. We had enough leftovers for the next days dinner. Very tender, full of flavor, wide variety of BBQ sauces at hand. Highly recommended.

“A little better than average”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 25, 2013

I would give this a 3+ rating. Four of us went to try Bad Brads BBQ this past Saturday. We arrived just before 6:00, so there was a wait. We were told the wait would be 45-60 minutes. I think we only waited about 35 minutes. Not too bad. The only problem with the wait, is there isn't a lot of room for those waiting and it's cold from the door continually opening. A heater would be nice.
Once seated, the waittress arrived right away and took our drink order. By time she came back we knew what we wanted, so we placed our order. 3 pulled pork and 1 brisket sandwich. The sandwiches come dry, so you can put your own sauce on them. We all agreed the meat on the sandwiches was very good, none of us were big fans of the 5 sauces that they have. We tasted all of them. The 321 was the best of the 5, but I just wasn't a fan. It wasn't bad, just ok. Everyone has a different idea of what they like in sauce, so others may like it.
Overall a good experience, nice waitress, fast service, tender meat on the sandwich and you do get a lot of meat so I feel the price paid was good. We just weren't thrilled about the bbq sauce.
