Beautiful hotel and restaurant in a tiny little French place near the coast with all the memories of the Great War. Authentic junior suite with al lot of space. Restaurant has nice dinner and breakfast is sufficient.

Room Tip: We had the junior suite, very authentic and rustic. The maintenance is very good and also the garden...

If you are anywhere near Normandy this is a place you must stay or at least have dinner. It's an old farm house and complex that the original building dates back to the 13th century. It has been beautifully restored with very careful attention to all creature comforts. The grounds, gardens and central courtyard are gorgeous. They have a bar that serves great wine, cider and beer in the courtyard. The rooms are wonderful, large with all the modern features / amenities and big bathrooms. Most look out onto the courtyard. But they still have the old feel with exposed beams. Finally the restaurant is the best in the area. It was the only place on our two week french adventure that we ate twice.

The location is perfect for exploring everywhere in Normandy. It's close to the beaches and Caen.

What amazed me the most was the cost relative to the quality of the property. It's not the cheapest in the area (and certainly not the most expensive) but is by far the best overall value. One tip, book directly with them and not thru a site. It you see a lower rate, email them and they will match. It usually means you get a nicer room. We will be back!

Room Tip: Book direct with them and not thru a Bookings.com site.

This is a nice old hotel in what feels like the middle of nowhere. Clean rooms, free wi-fi and great service. Not a lot of the personel speaks english but they try and want to help. The atmosphere is really calm and relaxing.

A cozy hotel-restaurant located in the country side of Normandy.

We stopped there for lunch & were received with lots of colourful flowers that lifted our spirits right there.

They served a delicious menu. The aperitif was a mix of white wine & berry liquor, not too sweet, just right.

The appetizer was what they called “Cobblestone cheese”, an old recipe invented by the founder of this place many years ago. “A secret family recipe”, made of cheese, wrapped in bacon, with a piece of apple in the center, plus eggs and cooked in the oven at “Bain Marie”, delicious. It was served with a green salad.

The main course was chicken with veggies & potatoes . The dessert was very similar to the Italian “Tiramisú”.

Great lunch.

A place to escape from everything.
We didn't stay at the hotel, we only ate at the restaurant.

This picturesque, quaint hotel was a beautiful slice of France. Recommended to us by friends who were return customers, we were certainly not disappointed. We stayed in the mignonette room which was situated up in the eaves and took advantage of the half-board option which provided both breakfast and dinner included in the cost. As well as being a good way to save money, it was perfect for our novice French skills. The situation of the hotel in the Normandy area was advantageous for the sights which we were there to see. The staff were friendly and helpful, answering any queries that we had. The food was of an extremely high standard with dinner being comprised of 5-6 courses - make sure you allow plenty of time to enjoy. Facilities were great, with the exception of the lack of on-site laundry facilities.

Room Tip: Note that the upper rooms did have A-frame ceilings so are not suited for tall persons.

On a quick three day hop after a business trip in London, just wanted to grab a quick reservation and spend some time in Normandy. From the moment we arrived, everything was simply perfect. A lovely restored farmouse, and the neighboring manner are flawlessly, painstakingly, yet not frivolously done. We ended up staying in both a room in the Ferme, as well as a small apartment at Le Manoir. The setting at the Manoir is very nice, but the room at the main property was a bit higher end. Really would be happy to go back and stay anywhere at this perfect place, perfectly managed. The owner(s) were fantastically helpful in giving us great advice for spots to visit, eat, etc. The breakfast at Ferme de la Ranconniere were great, and we had one lovely dinner at the restaurant. I cannot say enough nice things about the property or the slightly remote location. Great spot to launch explorations of D Day and Normandy in general. Tres bien!

This 13th century fortified farm building complex has been converted to the highest standards.

The rooms are all re-finished stone & beams with modern well appointed on-suites, TV, kettle & tea/coffee makings.

We stayed in the cheapest room available as part of a half board package. The room was stunning, located in the oldest part of the building it was the original look out tower consisting of a double bedroom & a two singles bedroom up the spiral stone stairs! The view to the sea through the tiny window on the stairs was great.

Breakfast was more than adequate & the evening meal consisited of four courses of excellent food.

A bar for pre-dinner drinks or a beer is open from early afternoon.

During the colder months there is the added luxury of open fires in the Bar Lounge, Dining & Breakfast rooms.

Situated only 20 minutes drive from Arromanche to the North or Bayeux to the West the hotel is located in the Normandy countryside on the extreme edge of Crepon which celebrates it's liberation in June 1944 by the Green howards.

The hotel is ideal as a base for touring the D-Day beaches & museums due to the central location.

There is also ample opportunity to walk & if one does depending on the direction there are history story boards in convenient places.

On viewing the tariff for this establishment you may consider the prices a little steep. But be assured that it is worth every penny. Especially if you want to splash out for a couple of days luxury.

It is a very popular hotel so consider forward planning.

Room Tip: Choosing a room depends on how much you want to pay. Rooms start at 77 Euros per person per night fo...
