My husband and I took the kids to the ABC Hesdin twice over the Easter holidays. On the first visit we went to the bowling alley. There are 6 lanes in total and all were in use while we were there (two of them for a children's party which I must say looked superbly organised by the staff). The bowling alley was clean and well staffed but the only slight sticking point was that they only had one ramp to share between six lanes, not great when there was a kid's party on. However we managed to share and it was a good chance for our children to practise their French when having to ask for their turn of the ramp! The cost for a family ticket (we went at peak time I think) was around 25 euros.
The following day we went to the pool. For a family of four it was 14.40 euros. The facilities were immaculate (much better than our previous experiences of French swimming pools!) and the visit really was value for money. An important point to note however is that swimming shorts are not permitted. They do sell skimpies (ie speedo style shorts) at reception but at around 25 euros a pair we nipped to Zeeman's (across from M Bricolage, next to Chaussprix the cheap shoe shop) where they had similar trunks at less than 4 euros a pop.
We really enjoyed our trip to the ABC and would recommend it to all.
