Myself my 2 daughters (2&5) and my wife visited this castle recently and had a great time. Najac is on the edge of a hill and offers great views of the surrounding countryside. The castle itself is in decent if not great condition but appear well cared for now ( in the past as with many castles the stone was taken to build elsewhere locally)
The walk to the castle is quite short but steep something not enjoyed by my youngest.
The people working at the castle were friendly and spoke good English.
This is well worth a visit.

Najac is very pretty. My 5 year old kept saying oh it's so beautiful while we were visiting the forteresse. The views are phenomenal from the top of the tower. After your visit, walk back to the main square and get a lovely treat from the boulangerie.

We had a brilliant afternoon exploring Najac and the castle. The site is good value and very photogenic despite the humid showery weather on the day. Be careful if you are not good on spiral stairs but well worth the climb for the views.

The scenery, the shops and the sunshine were all so good to see. I love this part of France. I will return!

We travelled by train from Villefrange de Rouergue to Nanjac. The journey was only about 20 mins. The trip was extremely interesting and I would recommend Nanjac to anyone who likes to visit somewhere beautiful to stop and stare, drink tea (or beer) and simply rest a-while to enjoy the amazing views.
